TAXMINDS ACADEMY

“I believe learning taxes should go beyond memorizing forms and numbers. It should give you the confidence to serve clients, create opportunities, and build something of your own.”
TaxMinds Academy was created to provide aspiring and established tax professionals with practical, real-world education they can actually use. My goal is to take what I’ve learned from years of working with taxpayers, building a tax firm, training professionals, and growing a business, and turn that experience into training that helps you move forward with greater knowledge and confidence.
Whether you're preparing your first tax return, expanding into more advanced services, or working toward building a successful tax business, you don't have to figure everything out on your own.
Learn the skill. Build the confidence. Create the opportunity.

Unlock Your Potential
This isn’t just another tax course. It’s hands-on training designed to help you understand how tax preparation actually works and give you the confidence to put that knowledge into practice.
The TaxMinds Academy Live Tax Training Workshop is an interactive, instructor-led experience created for aspiring and newer tax professionals who want more than prerecorded videos and information overload.
You’ll learn LIVE, ask questions in real time, work through practical tax scenarios, see how returns come together inside professional tax software, and understand the process from the moment a client walks through the door to the completion of the return.

How to continue developing your skills beyond the workshop
We Don’t Just Teach You Where to Click.
We teach you how to THINK like a tax professional.
Knowing how to enter numbers into software is not enough.
A professional tax preparer needs to understand why information is being entered, what questions to ask, when something doesn’t look right, what additional documentation may be needed, and when a situation requires additional research or escalation.
That is the difference between simply using tax software and developing the skills of a tax professional.
Learn Through Real-World Practice
Throughout the workshop, you’ll work through practical scenarios designed to help connect what you're learning to situations you may encounter with actual clients.
You won't just hear about a Schedule C.
You'll learn how to work through one.
You won't just hear about tax software.
You'll see how a return is prepared inside professional software.
You won't just memorize terminology.
You'll begin learning how to interview clients, evaluate information, identify what may be missing, and work through a return logically.
Imagine How You’ll Feel When You Finish.
You may walk into the workshop wondering:
“Can I really learn how to prepare taxes professionally?”
Our goal is for you to walk away saying:
“I understand this. I know what I’m looking at. I know what questions to ask. And I know what my next step is.”
You’ll leave with greater knowledge, direction, practical understanding and confidence—plus a roadmap for continuing to develop your skills as a tax professional.
And if your goal is bigger than preparing returns?
We’ll also introduce you to the business side of the tax industry because learning the skill can be the beginning of building something much larger.
Your Investment Goes Beyond One Workshop
You're investing in a professional skill that can continue developing year after year.
You're investing in the ability to better understand the tax industry.
You're investing in knowledge you can apply during tax season.
And for those who want to build a business, you're investing in the foundation for creating your own client base and potentially expanding into additional tax and financial services as your experience grows.
One workshop can be the beginning of an entirely new professional direction.
The Next Tax Season Is Coming—Will You Be Ready?
Every year, people wait until tax season has already started before deciding they want to learn.
Don't wait until January to wish you had started months earlier.
The time to learn, practice, ask questions, become familiar with the software, and build your confidence is before the season gets busy.
Our Live Tax Training Workshops are offered on scheduled dates with limited availability, so once a session reaches capacity, registration for that workshop closes.
If becoming a tax professional has been on your mind, this is your opportunity to stop thinking about it and start learning how to do it.
Your next tax season could look completely different.

Learn it. Practice it. Build your confidence. Then put your new skills to work.
TaxMinds Academy training is educational in nature. Completion of training does not guarantee income, employment, clients, tax-preparer credentials, or business results. Tax professionals are responsible for satisfying applicable IRS, state, licensing, registration, PTIN, due-diligence, and other professional requirements.
No. The TaxMinds Academy Live Tax Training Workshop is designed to work for beginners as well as newer tax professionals who want to strengthen their skills and confidence. We start with the foundations and progress into practical tax preparation, tax software, client scenarios, due diligence, and the business side of becoming a tax professional.
The training is designed to take you through the tax preparation process from beginning to end. Topics may include filing status, dependents, W-2 and 1099 income, common deductions and credits, self-employment and Schedule C, due diligence, client interviewing, tax software, return review, compliance, client workflow, pricing, and tax-business fundamentals. Most importantly, we focus on helping you understand why you're doing something, not simply where to click in the software.
The core workshop is LIVE and instructor-led, giving you the opportunity to learn in real time, see practical demonstrations, work through examples, and ask questions as concepts are being taught. This creates a very different learning experience from simply purchasing a course and being left to figure everything out on your own.
Yes. Tax software training is an important part of the program. You'll see how information moves from client documents into a professional tax return and learn how to navigate the preparation process inside tax software. The goal isn't just to teach you software—it is to help you understand the tax return behind the software.
The workshop is designed to give you a strong practical foundation and substantially greater confidence in the tax preparation process. However, becoming a competent tax professional takes continued practice, research, experience, and ongoing education. We want you to leave knowing what you're doing, why you're doing it, what questions you need to ask, and when you need additional research or assistance, not believing that one class makes you an expert overnight.
Not at all. Students may take the workshop because they want to prepare taxes professionally, add tax preparation to an existing business, work with another tax firm, or eventually develop their own tax business. That's why we go beyond tax preparation and introduce topics such as client acquisition, pricing, professional workflows, software, client communication, retention, and business development.
Your development shouldn't stop when the workshop ends. You'll leave with a clearer roadmap of what to practice, what areas require additional learning, and what steps may be needed before preparing returns professionally. Students interested in continuing with TaxMinds can also learn about available opportunities for tax software, additional training, resources, support, and the TaxMinds Partner Program, depending on their goals.
Tax preparation can become a source of seasonal or year-round business revenue, but income varies significantly based on experience, pricing, number and type of clients, services offered, marketing, location, compliance, and how the business is operated. We don't promise a specific income. Instead, we teach you the professional skill and business fundamentals that can help you understand how a tax practice is built and give you a foundation you can continue developing.
Because tax season is not the ideal time to start learning from zero. Starting earlier gives you time to learn the concepts, become familiar with professional software, practice returns, understand compliance requirements, ask questions, and prepare yourself before clients begin looking for help. Our live workshops are offered on specific scheduled dates and seating may be limited. Once a session reaches capacity, you'll need to wait for another available training date. If you've been thinking about becoming a tax professional, don't wait until the season begins to wish you had started sooner.
